I intend to try to do that until the bitter end, and after that, I will shoot down any drone that comes over my airspace.

… and if our own intelligence is much more energy efficient, then maybe we should use that instead(?)(!) … 8^b

Right on! The end of patience had put us in quite a pickle!

It’s important to pay attention to the carbon footprint of running innovating AI models and the level of environmental impact these activities will have before the dust settles on a mostly agreed upon direction for a sustainable approach to AI innovation.

Make great America (again !!)

The zone around Hydroserre (Mirabel, Cultures Gen V) that’s next to Montréal’s (Canada) former international airport (now back at Dorval/Trudeau) should be a great spot to grow winter tomatoes, berries, and maybe tropical fruits and flowers, beyond current lettuce, cucumbers and peppers, using waste heat from datacenters (note though that photoperiod adjustments would require energy as well). Asheville and Lenoir, NC (USA), are also prime spots for green datacenters, with plenty of available renewable energy and water, along with Texas Pete’s neverending demand for fresh supplies of hot peppers. In France, the Hauts-de-France region, and particularly the close vicinity of Ablaincourt-Pressoir and Estrées-Deniécourt, where the “gare TGV Haute-Picardie” and its high-tech park are already located, is also a prime spot for green datacenters and supercomputers (especially the upcoming ExaFlopping Jules Verne) for the same reasons and for their proximity to the most substantial of agricultural expertise in the EU!

In this day and age, no sizeable datacenter, nor supercomputer, should be built in water-scarce areas, nor within cities where they amplify heat-island effects. High-speed optical fiber networking readily makes off-site computational facilities appear as though they were right next to one’s board room, or living room, and this tech should be used in full to benefit our collective future in my view!
